Job Summary:
The salary reflected above is base pay and a 24.22% locality pay will be included. This is an interdisciplinary position which may be filled by any of the following series: Industrial Engineer (0896) or Operations Research (1515). This position is located with the Department of Navy, Space and Naval Warfare Center Atlantic. The incumbent will perform complex mission needs assessments using simulation or complex mathematical modeling while serving on or leading a systems engineering Integrated Product Team (IPT) with minimal guidance and support from senior competency members. Responsibilities include performing work on varied, complex equipment systems and subsystems, demonstrating competence and creativity working in areas that involve the employees and others, and developing new concepts and uses of material/hardware/software/tactics. Responsible for developing or testing new systems, equipment or materials that significantly add to the operability and usefulness of existing or new equipment/systems having new features.
